Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

An antique, vintage map from the year 1892, of an aerial view over the City of Norfolk, Virginia and its surroundings. This wonderfully nostalgic piece of history is from the Public Domain, created by Henry Wellge for the American Publishing Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The panoramic map, which was circulated compliments of Pollard Bros Real Estate, shows Hampton Roads, Norfolk Harbor as the designated site for the grand Naval Review for the Marines of the world in 1893, in connection with the World's Columbian Exposition. Also included are a series of detailed illustrations showing popular landmarks and points of interest in the area such as Virginia Beach, the New Atlantic Hotel, Fortress Monroe and an Ocean View. This reproduction map has been restored and converted to nostalgic sepia tone.

My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
