Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

While paddling my kayak off the coast of Dana Point taking water surface reference shots, I came across this buoy which sits at the entrance to the harbor. I was intrigued by its colors and texture. I mulled over how to incorporate it into a painting. When reviewing the images in my studio I saw the distant moon in the background, which I had missed while shooting. A couple of connected dots later and this piece was born.
Nearly all of the art shown here is available as limited edition prints directly from the artist. Award-winning artist Paul Bond was born in 1964 in Guadalajara, Mexico, and currently lives and works in Southern California. Paul Bonds art lives in the spaces between dreaming and reality. Drawing from the Latin American genre of Magic Realism, his paintings merge symbolic, surreal and fantastic elements with realistic atmospheres to unveil a world where everything is possible. At times, they simply express a whimsical aspect of life. Yet most works also carry deeper metaphysical and philosophical messages....
